    Article Snippet: Using the HDSS survey data from Matlab in a syndromic surveillance analysis showed that it was possible to identify significant increases in diarrhea and that about half of these diarrheal peaks were occurring up to 2 weeks before peaks in cholera cases, suggesting that HDSS survey data may be able to contribute to the early detection of cholera cases.
